The maps are divided into the 6 WMO Regions. You may view either all the stations in a region or view only the designated GAW stations.

Stations on these maps are identified by either a red dot or a black square.
| Red dots are stations that have been designated as GAW Precipitation Chemistry stations. | |
| The black squares represent either GAW stations that are no longer in service or they are non-GAW network sites. |
Some stations which are located on islands have been specifically identified. These islands are too small to display on these maps. They have been named to avoid confusion.
